Founded in 1931, United Way of Central Carolinas’ (UWCC) mission is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. UWCC is a local and regional partnership of volunteers, donors, staff, agencies and people served, which raises and distributes funds to 99 local health & human service agencies and their over 200 programs. UWCC supports agencies and other service providers that serve individuals in Cabarrus, Mecklenburg and Union Counties and the Mooresville-Lake Norman area. Our focus areas are: investing in children, youth and families; building strong and healthy communities; and empowering seniors and the disabled.
