Launched in 1991, ACCION New York is an associate of ACCION International, an international organization dedicated to helping microentrepreneurs grow their businesses by providing small loans and business training. ACCION New York is committed to working with self-employed individuals who lack access to traditional forms of business credit. By providing credit and other support services to “micro” entrepreneurs, ACCION New York seeks to increase business and family incomes, create jobs and revitalize the economically disenfranchised neighborhoods of New York City, Westchester and Long Island.
