Founded in 1980, the Alaska Conservation Foundation (ACF) receives and awards grants throughout the state to protect the integrity of Alaska’s ecosystems and promote sustainable livelihoods for Alaska’s communities and people. ACF is at the hub of the Alaska environmental network, regularly in touch with both local and national efforts, encouraging effective grassroots activism through collaboration between conservation organizations, and supporting skills training, constituency building and public education programs. Through the support of individuals and foundations, ACF has awarded over $14 million in grants to over 200 organizations and has served as the eyes and ears for a statewide and national constituency concerned about the future of Alaska.
