American Lung Association of Florida

The American Lung Association of Florida (ALAF) is a chapter of the American Lung Association. Founded in 1916 to fight tuberculosis, the American Lung Association of Florida is the lead organization in the state working to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Lung disease death rates continue to increase while other leading causes of death have declined. The ALAF funds vital research on the causes of and treatments for lung disease. Through education, advocacy and research, the American Lung Association of Florida strives to improve the health of the community.
