The American Tract Society (ATS) was instituted in 1825 as one of the earliest religious publishing bodies in the “new world.” The Society is a nonsectarian, evangelical organization providing the best possible in Christian tracts and related materials at reasonable prices that are partially underwritten by contributions to individuals, churches and organizations. The purpose of the American Tract Society is to produce attention-arresting tools for evangelism, prepare and encourage Christians to present the gospel, and to point Christians to discipleship in a local church.
