Since our founding in 1902, Audubon Society of Portland has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most effective conservation organizations. We are one of the National Audubon Society’s most active local chapters, with more than 7,500 members and 1,000 volunteers, and a dedicated, knowledgeable staff. We offer people of all ages and abilities a wide variety of hands-on natural history programs. Each year, we provide enriching educational trips, camps, and tours to over 18,000 schoolchildren and more than 2,000 adults. Nestled against Forest Park, just minutes from downtown Portland, is our 180-acres, free-to-the-public Nature Sanctuary, a showcase for flora and fauna with over four miles of forested hiking trails for you to enjoy year round.
