Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee works to inspire and empower all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Our diverse and developmentally appropriate programs engage youth in activities with adults, peers and family members and are based on the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs/interests of our members. The first echoes of this mission were heard in 1887 in the basement of Milwaukee’s Plymouth Congregational Church. 115 years later, the Milwaukee Clubs serve more than 22,000 members at five full-service branches, 16 school-based safe places/community learning centers and rural Camp Whitcomb/Mason in Hartland, Wis.
