Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) strives to improve the health of children through its support of research and education at the Oklahoma Health Center. Children’s Medical Research Institute is the only organization in Oklahoma whose sole focus is the advancement of pediatric research and education. Since its inception in 1983, CMRI has raised $37 Million to fund pediatric research and education programs. In fiscal year 2003 -2004, CMRI obtained $2.75 in matching funds from Presbyterian Health Foundation and University Hospitals Trust to enhance academic research endowments and to purchase equipment and conduct research for the Type II diabetes research program.
