Dystonia Medical Research Foundation

The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) was founded in 1976. Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions which force certain parts of the body into abnormal, sometimes painful, movements or postures. The mission of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation is to advance research for more treatments and ultimately a cure; to promote awareness and education; and to support the needs and well being of affected individuals and families. The Dystonia Foundation is dedicated to providing materials and resources to address all forms of dystonia including psychological ramifications and the coping techniques of dealing with the disorder.
