Food for Others obtains and distributes free food to the hungry of Northern Virginia, supports food programs of other community-based organizations and provides a channel for people to help their neighbors by actively volunteering their service. Food is stored in our 10,730 square foot warehouse. We distribute emergency food directly to needy people who are referred for assistance, and to families who live in low income neighborhoods. We also make bulk distributions to other charitable organizations. Over 600 volunteers work with eight staff members to manage operations at Food for Others.
