The Grand Teton National Park Foundation was created in 1997 to provide financial support for programs and projects which enhance, preserve and protect the Grand Teton National Park’s treasured cultural, historic and environmental resources. Today, private financial support of national parks has never been more critical. While the Park’s annual budget from federal appropriations covers day-to-day operations, it is not adequate to keep up with the Park’s other needs. It is up to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation to raise the necessary funds to ensure this Park’s continued stewardship and excellence. These are dollars that help support new and innovative projects. The Foundation sees its role as providing funds that protect and add value to this great park.
