Founded in 1868, Hampton University (HU) is a comprehensive institution of higher education, dedicated to the promotion of learning, building of character, and the preparation of promising students for positions of leadership and service. The University offers 38 bachelor’s degree programs, 14 master’s degree programs, and 4 doctoral or professional degrees. A historically black institution, HU is committed to multiculturalism serving students from diverse national, cultural and economic backgrounds. Currently, 5,700 students from 49 states and 35 territories and nations are enrolled at HU.
