The Homeless Family Center (HFC) is the only emergency shelter (up to 90 days stay) available for homeless individuals and families in Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties (District 15). HFC has also opened the Stark Family Center, which provides extended support for homeless families (families that need to stay for six months or more). In addition, HFC provides opportunities for clients to get back on their feet and get back into the community through the Employment and Education Program. HFC strives to help families who have had to make tough choices regarding housing, medical care, transportation, food and other expenses.
