Infant Welfare Society of Chicago

Established in 1911, Infant Welfare Society of Chicago (IWS) remains committed to its mission to provide services for the healthy physical and mental development of disadvantaged children to give them a foundation for a future productive and wholesome life. As a maternal and child community health center, IWS provides a comprehensive program of medical, dental, educational and mental health services for underserved children up to age 19 and prenatal, gynecological care, general health services and parenting information to underserved mothers. The health center treats, on a sliding scale pay basis, more than 7,600 women and children annually through over 33,000 service visits.
