The International Bible Society Foundation (IBS Foundation) was founded in 1809 by a small group of committed believers in New York City, who became consumed with a vision to see God’s Word placed into the hands and hearts of people everywhere. In 1920, IBS established its planned giving program to enable Christians with a passion for Scripture outreach to see their assets work to build God’s Kingdom while providing personal income during their lifetimes. In 1992, IBS formed a foundation to enable believers to use their God-given resources to support the worldwide mission of IBS. IBS’s goal for the future is to reach 2 billion people with the Word of God by the year 2008, including their work to translate and develop new audio and visual Scripture resources.
