Library Foundation of Los Angeles

The Library Foundation of Los Angeles was incorporated in 1992 to seek private sector support for the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL). The Library Foundation seeks contributions to support the LAPL’s valuable collections of books and materials, for selected capital improvements, and to expand services that provide greater access to learning for the City’s burgeoning population. The Library Foundation provides funding for projects that complement, but do not supplant, the City’s responsibility for continued operation of the LAPL. Since its creation, the Library Foundation has raised more than $50 million to support programs and services of the LAPL.
