The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois is one of 76 U.S. Make-A-Wish Foundation chapters and 27 international affiliates. We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Wishes are granted to children between 2½ and 18 years old. In 2003, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Illinois merged to cover 70 counties in Illinois under the name Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. The Illinois chapter has granted wishes to more than 5,000 children since it began.
