The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sarasota/Tampa Bay was formed in 1986. We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sarasota/Tampa Bay is one of 75 chapters in the United States and its territories and 27 international affiliates on five continents. Our chapter covers a nine county territory including: Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Hardee and DeSoto. In fiscal year 2004, we granted 129 wishes. In January of 2004, we celebrated granting our 1,000th wish!
