National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri

The National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri is a major voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases; improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases; and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. It is one of 51 affiliates nationwide. Founded in 1967, the National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri provides services and support to kidney patients, transplant recipients, and their families; donor families; and renal health care professionals. Currently, there are more than 450,000 people living in the designated service area who have some form of kidney or urologic disease.
