National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Channel Islands Chapter

Founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society works to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The Channel Islands Chapter proudly serves the tri-county area of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. Programs provided by the Chapter offer: professional education and public awareness; self-help and peer counseling for individuals with MS, their family and friends; tools for independent living through medical equipment and respite care loans; physician and other healthcare provider referrals; a lending library of tapes, videos, and publications; adapted exercise programs; and medical, legal and disability advocacy on local, state and national levels. More than 2,500 clients utilize the Chapter programs throughout the tri-county area.
