Incorporated in 1959, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation is dedicated to advancing the long term development, health and well-being of the specialty and the public it serves through financial support of research and education consistent with the goals of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. The Foundation has traditionally been committed to securing the future of the specialty as a means of assuring public access to appropriate, scientifically validated treatment. Since 1985, the Foundation has committed nearly $6.3 million in research and education to support the specialty.
