Project Open Hand/Atlanta

Founded in 1988, Project Open Hand/Atlanta provides freshly cooked meals and nutrition services to people living with symptomatic HIV/AIDS, homebound seniors and individuals with other critical illnesses or disabilities. Since its inception, thousands of volunteers from all walks of life have come together to help prepare, package and deliver over five million meals to thousands of men, women and children living with and affected by AIDS and other critical illnesses or disabilities. Not one day of delivery has been missed, no eligible client has ever been turned away and no waiting list has ever been maintained.
