Ronald McDonald House of Orlando

Ronald McDonald House of Orlando is a home away from home for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at local hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House of Orlando, the first in Central Florida, opened its first house on the campus of Florida Hospital in December, 1996. In 2002, ground was broken for a new facility to be located on the campus of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women. More than 5,600 families from all over the United States and several foreign countries have called Our Houses “home.” Those families that have stayed at the House have represented 26 countries, 43 states and 59 Florida counties. Orlando is one of only a few cities nationwide to have more than one Ronald McDonald House.
