Special Olympics Southern California

Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) works to provide sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for Southern California children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing them with opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and share their gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. SOSC serves over 11,000 children and adults, ranging in age from eight to eighty. SOSC is made up of 31 local areas/programs in 11 counties governed by a Board of Directors made up of a broad cross section of Southern California leadership.
