In 1948, a home run by the Daughters of Charity closed and merged with the Sarah Fisher home, which had been operational since November 25, 1929, to form the St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center. Since that time, the Center has been supporting children and families through life crises by offering a comprehensive and seamless network of services designed to enhance individual and family strengths. Programs offered include residential treatment, foster care, adoption, post-adoption, support services, pregnant and parenting services and a young fatherhood development program.
