Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation was established in 1991 to assist the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in carrying out its authorized purposes as stated in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code. The Foundation preserves Texas treasures like Chinati Mountain and the Playa Lakes of the Panhandle. New facilities, such as the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, house programs important to wildlife preservation and study. The Foundation plays an essential role in conservation education, with scholarship opportunities, internships, and outdoor activities for children.
