Thomas Irvine Dodge Nature Center

Created in 1967, the Thomas Irvine Dodge Nature Center’s mission is to provide a place where members of our community can experience, study and enjoy nature, and in doing so be inspired to become responsible stewards of our environment. The Nature Center offers a variety of experiences for people of all ages. School groups visit the center to engage in hands-on learning programs on more than 50 nature-related topics. Individuals and families participate in community education classes on evenings and weekends, and in day camps for school-aged children. Dodge also operates miles of hiking trails, prairie and oak savanna restoration projects, and a premier preschool. The Nature Center hosts over 40,000 children and their families per year.
