The United Way of Central Virginia (UWCV) has served Central Virginia since 1921. We provide services and funding for non-profit service organizations and charities throughout Region 2000 in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell Counties and the cities of Bedford and Lynchburg. UWCV’s activities and key direct services help create a more efficient and effective health and human care system. Through this work, UWCV provides professional information and referral services, expertise for distribution of campaign dollars, training of agency professionals, and development of collaborations that will improve the quality of services for our community.
