United Way of East Central Iowa makes communities stronger by: gathering information to identify our communities’ most critical needs; raising money to support human service agencies in meeting those needs; and working with community groups to create new projects that help people. United Way of East Central Iowa is strengthening our communities by creating new projects that meet pressing needs. Some of these projects include enhancing the public transportation system; initiating United Way 2-1-1, a 24 hour hotline number for health and human service information; and improving the quality of childcare.
