The Western Environmental Law Center is a public interest law firm dedicated to defending the West. We proudly represent activists, Indian tribes, local governments, and citizen groups. The Center has worked with more than sixty organizations and tribes to defend our wildlife; we have protected hundreds of thousands of forested acres, 31,000 acres of fragile burned areas, and 1,484 miles of wild rivers that run through the West; we help neighborhood associations, rural governments, and other community groups; we take action to keep western waters clean and free for generations to come; we protect people and the environment from exposure to toxic substances in our air, water, and food; and we work with tribes and pueblos across the West to protect their natural and cultural resources.
