Presbyterian Lay Committee

Founded in 1965, the Presbyterian Lay Committee (PLC) works to inform and equip God’s people by proclaiming Jesus Christ alone as: the Way of salvation; the Truth of God’s Word; the Life of discipleship. The PLC works within the church for the following: to put greater emphasis on the teaching of the Bible as the authoritative Word of God in our seminaries and churches; to emphasize the need for presenting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior; to encourage individual Presbyterians to take their place in society; to encourage official church bodies to seek and express the mind of God as revealed in Scripture on individual and corporate moral and spiritual matters; and to provide an adequate and reliable source of information on significant issues confronting the church.
