Don’t be fooled into believing Jamaica is one big resort. Beyond the luxurious beach hotels, natives are living in desperate physical and spiritual poverty–these are the people we want you to meet!
In Jamaica, our short-term teams live right in the community and walk between the housing site and ministry activities everyday, which is a great way to get to know people and create valuable relationships. Community members work right alongside our mission teams on construction projects.
If you are looking for a truly remote jungle mission trip close to the States, then Jamaica is your place. At one of our partner sites, teams shower in bathing suits at a spring with the locals. The whole trip experience is one you will never forget!
Many Jamaicans claim to have faith in Jesus, similar to the US, but do not allow God a place in their daily lives. We have the opportunity to serve, build relationships with and pray for these people. So many Jamaicans feel hopeless and oppressed by poverty, yet cover their true feelings with the Jamaican “no worries” attitude.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Flexibility is the key! ALL ministry/outreach activities are customized to the communities’ specific needs and are specifically determined closer to the time of the trip. Our goal is to best partner with the community we are going to serve. Please keep this in mind when discussing trip details with potential participants!
