The American Academy of Neurology Foundation (AAN Foundation) is an independent organization affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). The AAN Foundation works to broaden the base of support for public education and research in neurology. The AAN Foundation believes that in working to achieve this goal, it will in turn make a meaningful contribution to the more general goal of the entire neurologic community: to improve the quality of care and the quality of life for people with neurological disorders. The AAN Foundation works closely with the AAN to provide “The Brain Matters” educational materials and website.
