American Bar Association Fund for Justice and Education

The American Bar Association (ABA) Fund for Justice and Education (FJE) was created in 1961, as the Fund for Public Education. The Fund allows the Association to solicit and accept tax-exempt gifts and grants in support of law-related public service and educational programs of the Association. The FJE embodies the ABA’s dedication to improving the legal system and ensuring access to justice for all citizens. FJE programs address a wide range of issues including legal problems of the elderly and the homeless; equal access to justice; public education about the law; continuing legal education for lawyers; professional responsibility; and international legal issues. Each year, the FJE supports nearly 200 law-related programs that serve the public and the profession.
