The American Lung Association of New Jersey (ALANJ) is dedicated to the prevention of lung disease and the promotion of lung health. Founded in 1906, it is New Jersey’s first voluntary health organization. Through our involvement in community education, family support services, communications, continuing education programs for health care professionals and support of research, we work to ensure that children can breathe easier, that there will be clean, smoke-free air for all to breathe, and that chronically ill patients may live with dignity and comfort. Major program areas of focus encompass asthma, tobacco control and prevention, and air quality.
