Founded in 1925, the American Youth Foundation (AYF) inspires people to discover and develop their personal best, to seek balance in mental, physical, social and spiritual living and to make a positive difference in their communities and in the wider world. AYF is a national, youth development organization with regional centers in Michigan and New Hampshire. We own and operate two year round youth development centers. Miniwanca is located on 320 acres of wooded sand dunes on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. It has a residential capacity of 950. Merrowvista is located on 600 acres of forest on Dan Hole Pond in the Ossipee Range of the White Mountains of central New Hampshire. It has a residential capacity of 350.
