Animal Defense League

Chartered in 1934, the Animal Defense League (ADL) is a no-kill organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for abandoned and abused dogs and cats by providing shelter, medical care, food, and safety. While maintaining a healthy and loving facility, the League consistently works to find the best possible home for each resident animal. The ADL provides a variety of services and resources, including: adoption of homeless dogs and cats, full-time staff veterinarian, low cost spay/neuter program for pets of low-income families, only area ambulance for picking up injured animals, humane education programs in schools and the community, Pet-a-Pup pet therapy program for nursing homes, and low-cost boarding.
