Arizona Kidney Foundation

Serving Arizona, since 1963, Arizona Kidney Foundation (AKF) has grown from a two-person office in a hospital basement to an organization serving Arizona’s chronic kidney disease patients and their families. The mission has changed from seeking funding for dialysis treatments for a few patients in Phoenix to providing financial assistance to patients statewide, for medications, transportation to and from dialysis, dental care, food, nutritional supplements, and emergency living expenses. The AKF is the state affiliate of the National Kidney Foundation. Our mission is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
