Since 1964, the Baton Rouge Area Foundation has helped local philanthropists create a lasting legacy of community development. We form partnerships with philanthropists, nonprofit organizations and other community leaders to ensure that our community can exceed any challenge, and that our residents have every opportunity to succeed. Through more than 300 charitable funds, the Foundation’s donors and advisors are cultivating far-reaching community improvements, and continuing a vision of long-term success that first earned their founders the distinction of being the premier resource for philanthropists, nonprofit organizations and community leaders in the area. In 2004 the Foundation made over $9 million in grants.
