Established in 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Milwaukee works to help children reach their full potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. The agency provides children aged 6 to 17 in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties with caring, adult mentors for consistent, supportive relationships. We are one of over 450 affiliates of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBS), the largest and oldest youth mentoring organization in the country. BBBS is not just a feel-good social cause. National research has proven that BBBS volunteers make a lasting impact in the lives of the children they mentor. In 2004, BBBS of Metro Milwaukee provided mentoring services to 1,600 children.
