Boy Scouts of America, Detroit Area Council

For over 90 years, the Boy Scouts of America, Detroit Area Council has been shaping the lives and character of young people throughout the metropolitan area of Detroit. Literally hundreds of thousands of families have turned to the Scouting program to help instill in their children a code of moral and ethical conduct, a commitment to community service, leadership skills, duty to country and a reverence toward God. The lessons a boy learns from the Scout Handbook do last a lifetime. The Boy Scouts of America was incorporated to provide a program for community organizations that offers effective character, citizenship, and personal fitness training for youth.
