Center for Economic Progress

Established in 1990, the Center for Economic Progress increases economic opportunities for low-income families, children, and individuals by improving access to public, private, and non-profit programs and services. Through direct services, public education, and advocacy, the Center challenges barriers facing its constituency, thus encouraging self-sufficiency and promoting economic prosperity. From providing free, fast, electronic tax preparation to helping families work out their problems with the IRS to teaching home-based childcare workers how to navigate the extremely complicated tax code in order to make the most of the business, the Center for Economic Progress works to boost the incomes and build the assets of the families and individuals we serve.
