The Central Asian Free Exchange (CAFE) was established with the emergence of Uzbekistan as an independent nation in 1991 and is registered as a humanitarian aid organization in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. CAFE’s staff provides a wide variety of training and development projects throughout Uzbekistan and northern Afghanistan. We believe true development can only happen through a process of learning, respecting and honoring the values inherent in each culture. Thus, we are committed to live and work among the people, learn their language and engage them in every aspect of development. CAFE faithfully works with the people of Central Asia for culturally relevant, holistic, locally sustainable development.
