Founded in March of 1975, by Tom Claus, CHIEF (Christian Hope Indian Eskimo Fellowship) works to disciple and equip a strong Native American leadership for the development of the indigenous church throughout North, Central, and South America. For more than 30 years, CHIEF has provided discipleship training, evangelism outreach and practical helps to approximately 300 tribes in the Americas and in Mongolia. CHIEF networks with over 60 Denominations and servant ministries. CHIEF continues to offer among Native Americans a strong evangelical fellowship; a trained lay leadership; increasing educational and economic opportunities; a sense of community and pride in the Indian and Eskimo identity, ability and leadership potential.
