Child Advocates, Inc. is a leader in applying volunteer manpower to ensure abused children involved in the children’s protective system have someone designated to speak up on their behalf. We speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. We are one of the largest of 950 programs like ours in the nation but we currently only have the resources to advocate for only half of the abused children in state custody in Harris County who need us. Founded in 1984, we have reached out to more than 12,000 of Houston’s most severely abused children. Our commitment is to guide volunteers through a fulfilling volunteer experience and support them as they speak up for abused children.
