Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (CMBG) is committed to the protection, preservation and enhancement of the botanical heritage of coastal Maine for people of all ages through horticulture, education and research. Beginning as an idea in 1991, CMBG became a reality in 1996 with the purchase of 128 acres of beautiful and natural landscape in the coastal community of Boothbay. Two miles of walks, trails, and drives provide access to the gardens and the natural areas. Along the popular Shore Walk, you will find the Fern Garden, the Wetlands Garden and the native plant Shoreland Garden. The Entrance Garden is host to a growing Rhododendron collection. The Fern Trail and the Heath Trails open up a world of mosses, lichens, heaths and ferns.
