The Community Food Share (CFS) works to assure that people in Boulder and Broomfield counties are food secure. CFS collects donated food from a variety of sources, and distributes it to the needy in Boulder County, and through direct service distribution. CFS supplies a network of 89 local human service agencies who distribute food to those in need: the working poor, the homeless, the unemployed, the physically and mentally disabled, and children, seniors and adolescents at risk. These agencies include soup kitchens, emergency assistance programs, senior programs, shelters, child care centers and agencies serving disabled citizens, the mentally ill, low-income working poor and at-risk youth. For the year 2003, we distributed 40% more food than we did in the year 2002!
