COMPA Food Ministry

COMPA Food Ministry began in 1981 as six inner-city pastors, considering the needs of their neighborhoods and churches, began a food pantry. Their desire was to reach out with God’s compassion to hungry families around them. Now in our 25th year, COMPA is the largest Christian food bank in Colorado, distributing food to 135 churches, food pantries and neighborhood feeding programs, who in turn, provide for over 35,000 people each week throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Presently, over 100 additional churches and community groups are on a waiting list, pending the acquisition of sufficient food needed to make them full partners with COMPA.
