Covenant House New Orleans was founded in 1984, and now provides shelter and services to homeless, runaway and at-risk youth ages 16 – 21. On any given night we have about 75 kids in residence. We also have a 70-bed Crisis Center and two transitional living residences, with an additional 25 beds. Since our founding, we have touched the lives of over 17,000 youth, providing them with food, shelter, clothing, medical attention, individual and family counseling, substance abuse management, educational assistance, vocational and job training, living skills and so much more. We seek to rebuild and reunite families whenever possible, or offer youth the opportunity and the tools they need to build healthy, independent and productive lives.
