The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation is dedicated to improving the health, education, and quality of life for the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Foundation strives to accomplish this goal through an emphasis on primary health care and disease prevention, the promotion of health policy and research, and increased access to health care and education for the people of Congo. The Foundation regularly sends medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to the Congo to help with the current needs. In addition, the Foundation is managing construction on a 300 bed medical center in Kinshasa.
